So today’s outfit post is from an early-August evening, watching a beautiful summer sunset over the cove before drinks with friends (hope you guys don’t mind the blast from the past). This BCBG Nixon jacket is beyond COOL… and since most San Diego nights require a jacket, I’ll wear this year-round. Here I am raving about it in Locale magazine. (I’m a little obsessed.) BCBG just knows how to do prints and jackets! They never disappoint.
A James Perse tee and my Jbrand Nash Boyfriend Shorts were the natural choice for me with this jacket. And since I love the idea of mixing prints, (it’s a way of showing your personality and creativity) I toted my Dolce & Gabanna Miss Sicily bag. Last but not least, I rocked these turquoise Zara heels to complete my outfit. They’ll take any look to another level!

Wind, Sea, and silk.. what a fab combination. This SEN ombre dress is amaaazing! Whether its your hair or your outfit, there’s nothing that says SoCal like OMBRE! I was heading to a concert on the beach and thought this was perfect for the occasion, it was just so easy to throw on and go! I added some of my favorite statement jewelry by skova to give it a dressier night-time look. Since the concert was on the water i knew this was recipe for disaster for my hair so I used a terracotta new york scarf as a bandanna to tame my tousled tresses. It was just easier to have it out of my face than flat and stringy. Yuck, such a bad look. I added a quick braid for style and was ready to jam to the concert with my friends. Easy, Breezy!
I had to head to a last minute dinner meeting with a celeb client of mine for an upcoming project she’s working on. Super excited btw!! I had on my boyfriend shorts with a casual v neck tee and espadrilles. Obviously couldn’t show up to a dinner meeting in my slouchy look but was limited on time. I stuck with the boyfriend… The boyfriend short can be a tricky piece to pull off, but if done right it can make your look so unique and effortless. Since it’s meant to be SUPER over sized and slouchy, I normally pair it with a fitted top and detailed jacket. In this case, I was feeling a little tom-boyish. This symmetrical blouse added balance to these disoriented shorts. lol. I really wanted to try something new yet still keep a feminine approach. The ruffled stilettos and tasseled clutch created a styled outfit with edge and grace. I love the contrast created by the bagginess of the distressed boyfriend short with the streamlined accessories. And of course I added a pretty pink lip.
