Winter weather gets me super pumped. It’s time to pull out the layers, chic scarves and perfectly tailored jackets. A favorite street style of mine is a laid back look with a stylish twist. This outfit is without a doubt one of my favorites, it incorporates so many different styles all wrapped into one. I started with my skinny riding pant. This posh pant can be dressed up or down. It’s a great staple to add to your legging collection. The discrete panel detail adds structure and style. Sometimes picking a blouse can be the hardest part of completing your outfit. I was really aiming for a more casual look so I choose a graphic tee ‘Lovin Paris’. I’m currently obsessing over my wedge Louis Vuitton boots. I fell head over heels for these babies! PUN intended! I needed a statement jacket as the finishing touch and this flirty cropped fur jacket was the perfect fit. I paired this look with a casual black beanie, a red cross-body handbag and red lips. Obvi.
This will definitely make its way in my suitcase for my New Years trip to New York! Side Note… Um, where did 2013 go???!

The holidays are my favorite time of year. Spending time with the ones you love, the holiday music, and the delicious homemade Christmas cookies get me every time. I love it. Not to mention, holiday parties are the perfect excuse to dress up! Since red and green seem to be a pretty permanent color scheme, I decided to go with this emerald fit and flare jacquard dress. I didn’t want to look like an elf so I styled this dress with a statement shoe and accessorized with gold undertones. Mixing prints is all the rage right now. Matchy-matchy was so 2001. I played on the bright green hue and went for my Jimmy Choo pumps with a peekaboo green flower. The leopard print and neutral under tones complimented the vibrant hue. To tie in the beige flower and gold bag I added a festive gold belt. The belt provided glamour to the dress without overdoing it. The last touch, a chunky gold watch for flare.

Holiday Shopping can be a drag, I know… But you’re gift giving to the ones you love, SO, make the most of it. I always try to get my shopping done in 2 days. I split up the mall shopping with the specialty stores and anything I forget or need last minute, I buy online. Besides, everyone is giving away 2 day shipping, so why not!?
If i know I will be shopping for awhile, I always wear a cute, comfortable outfit. It’s been chilly in San Diego so I layered my lightweight tee with a jacket and scarf. San Diego always feels like summer time even when its chilly so I opted for a resort style with mixed prints. *2014 TREND ALERT* Bell bottoms are back and even stronger this 2014. I think they missed their mark this past summer. The bells were way too ‘that 70s show’ and the white wash made everyone except the Mary Kate look a-likes look HUGE. This year they were done right. I love this light retro pant. The extra long inseam adds height to lengthen the leg and adds a slimming effect. I love the 2 inch hem detail that gives a little bit of edginess. I am crushing over these lightweight long sleeve undershirts by BCBG Max Azria. They go with everything, they’re perfect for layering a sweater or jacket. This pretty printed tee accented the navy stripe in my jacket. This season is all about mixing prints. Don’t be scared, just go for it! I grabbed one of my favorite scarves to match the simple flower detail in my top. Last but not least, I wore a neutral bag and nude pumps. Now bring on the SHOPPING!!
Sometimes gift giving is one of the hardest things to do. Especially when you need to shop for that person who has everything! UGH! So, first and foremost. Get to know who you’re shopping for. If its your barista at Starbucks who happens to always have your drink ready right after you pay, while everyone else in front of you just gives you the evil eye.. Opt for a tasty treat and a funny Holiday card. I’d go with something non traditional like red and green macaroons! They’re tasty, pretty and not chocolate Santas.
If your gift giving to a close friend, buy her something she will use and get a kick out of. My bff is a social media QUEEN! She tags a hashtag… You know, one of those! Anyway, I found an adorable sequin make-up pouch, could be used as a mini clutch that reads.. “#HASHTAG F#CK YOU” Perfect, easy, not that expensive and I can add little girlie things into the bag. Starbucks gift card, lip gloss, and a girls night out coupon.. (Must be redeemable before January 31, 2014.)
If you are a guy searching for the ultimate gift to buy your babe.. And you won’t go broke in the process, buy her a classic Chanel bag. TRUST ME, you will be a KING in her eyes. Chanel is timeless, it never goes out of style, she will have it until she’s an old lady so thats why you should buy it for her. Not to mention, you will be the best boyfriend ever and get the seal of approval by all her girlfriends. (Guys, get in good with the girlfriends, it will make your life easier.)
Shopping for your sister or mom, the important ladies in your life… Rituals is one of the best most inexpensive products you can buy. They are smell-good body products providing the most luxurious feel. Perfume, candles, and beauty gadgets are always a good choice too! All of these products are available at Cos Bar in La Jolla.
More MOTO please! I fell so hard for these pants! They are so different than your traditional grey skinnies. The moto detail has edginess and personality. You can grab a plain white tee, wedge sneaks and call it a day. Why? Because the pants speak for themselves. When J Brand came out with the leather version that everyone and their mother were getting, I kinda kicked myself for not getting a pair. Like all must haves, they sold out. Sad face, wheeze and even a little tear. Take note peeps, if you see it and LOVE it, GET IT!
So, this hip pant really can go with anything. I paired mine with a rebellious tee by Benjamin Jay. Who’s Benjamin Jay? “Lack of Innovation is the Atrophy of Fashion.” That is Benjamin Jay. My light weight cotton tee was the perfect rocker babe piece. The raw finish and distressing throughout gave a grunge feel. Since I had clients meeting me at the boutique, I went with my pretty patent leather two tone Chanel pumps. Lastly, I snagged this matte sequin jacket to leave my look dressy and polished. E-Z BreeZy!
