Spring time has FINALLY arrived. Ahhhhh and I’m so OBSESSED!!! Shower me in NEON please!!! There’s definitely some Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to rocking this ultra vibrant hue.
DO sport more than one shade of neon, keep it tasteful babes. Choose one shade of neon in an over the top statement jacket and accent with that color. I pulled a neon yellow hue in the print of my Equipment floral bomber jacket and made my shoes and handbag do all the talking.
DO tone down your eye candy outfit with neutral undertones. White and neon is HUGE right now. It’s crisp, clean and cool.
DO Try a light blue denim with your bright hues. It’s an amazing color to compliment neon as opposed to something safe like white.
DO opt for neon leather if you are in search of the perfect “summer” bag. You don’t have to worry about staining a durable perforated neon bag as opposed to any and all white leather bags. You will thank me after you get the first stain on your bright white baby.
DON’T think Neon is a one-season wonder, so buy with an ‘all year round ‘ mentality.
Lastly, for the love of the fashion gawds, PLEASE DON’T wear neon with black. It’s a big time fashion NO, NO!!

I was really digging this outfit today. I was having a TOTAL fat day, (we all have them and HATE them) ugh! So, I went for a loose dress to try to hide my belly. Ok, whatever, I felt comfortable so thats all I cared about. Sometimes it’s not always about what’s most flattering, but what makes you feel comfortable that day. So, I went with it. It was a chilly La Jolla afternoon but the sun was out. I felt it was only appropriate to wear this dress as I was running out of time to wear the last of my fall finds. BTW, I can’t believe fall is already behind us. Like, where the heck did the year go?? Anyways, I wanted to wear cute sneakers with this dress for a skater girl look but went with these Steve Madden booties to stick with a fall feel. My inexpensive saddle bag paired perfectly with the leather detailing in the dress and my booties. My ombre sunnies completed my look as I said farewell to fall…

Welcome home to me! After an AMAZING, but cold trip to Europe, I couldn’t wait to rock a warm weather look. I picked the most tropical/jungle style I could find in my crazy closet. Which brings me to another point, WOW has Fashion transformed over the last 30 years, especially for women. I love that I can wear this over-the-top Clover Canyon Amazon skirt paired with an oversized sweater, bold pumps and be ready for a full days work. As I have said before, my style is very different from most. When it comes to dressing up, there’s just one thing I’m not willing to compromise, my comfort. Sorry babes, I refuse to obide by the old saying “pain is beauty”. F* that. So, today I had a hip hugging skirt on and a fitted tank was definitely not in the cards, so I grabbed a comfy oversized sweater to give my style a more laid back feel. Because I’m in an industry where image can make or break your business, I opted for a classic Chanel pump to clarify my otherwise confusing look. I was ready for a client filled day while not compromising my comfort. San Diego, I missed you so! <3 <3 <3

Sometimes fashion needs to be cray cray and today was most definitely one of those days. I had back to back meetings with reps for potential new lines to carry at the boutique. I had to go for something funky, yet business appropriate. I started with my pencil. I’ve said it before and I’ll preach it again, buy a staple black pencil skirt. PLEASE!!!! We ALL benefit from every girl having the perfect tailored, go-to, black skirt. It’s chic, easy and effortless. Ok, done yelling at you! I wore my favorite knit skirt with a cheeky graphic tee. Right now, women’s suiting is going from a more structured style to a more flirty flare. I picked up on the bright red shade and went for a loud and proud bag. To bring the look to a more conservative side, I wore my tuxedo pumps to polish my look. If you are going to go for more edge, always bring a tasteful jacket. (Just in case.) On a different note, I can not wait to show you guys what new lines are in store for 2014! Thank god for fashion! Wouldn’t life be boring without it?
