Spotted in Parker Skirt and Wedge Sneakers

Tom-Boy doesn’t always have to be over sized tees, relaxed jeans and sneaks.  This time I felt the need to switch up the tom-boy trend.  I paired this adorable flared Parker skirt with a grunge denim jacket and wedge sneaks.  I was on a sweet tooth hunt for some tasty strawberries… I needed a break from a busy day working on the blog and styling meetings.  For those girls wanting to wear something comfy but can’t compromise your small stature, opt for a cute pair of wedge sneakers.  I wear these babies with everything.  They’re not as boring as your converse and have a super cute look once you get over the love/hate relationship.  I would normally rock these with a solid leather skirt, white tee and cool jacket but went for the sporty style instead.  High-waisted skirts need balance, especially when you have a bold print.  I toned it down with a silk loose cami and denim/ sweater jacket.  I felt flirty and fun… and thankfully found that delicious box of chocolate covered strawberries I was looking for. mmmm. yummy. Go for it, indulge.

Graphic Gold

Because we all have “Off Duty” days, I went for a layered look and a luxe leather skirt.  I had a million things to do so I threw up my hair in a twisted knot bun and slipped on my ill-mannered flats.  The off duty days rarely require effort,  THANK, GAWD!   My comfy “Lovin Paris” sweatie, oversized cargo jacket and flats made for a casual cute look.  I’m obsessing over these crazy cool sunnies.  They have a jagged stud detail around the frame and a deep purple ombre tint.  LOOVE!  If I can make a recommendation this year, opt for a hip cargo jacket that can carry you through your off days for the rest of 2014.  Leather jackets are great, but an army green oversized jacket… hopefully with quilted leather sleeves can be worn with virtually anything!  I have a hard time not wearing mine every other day.  Try pairing it with an all white tank, distressed denim, gladiator flats and oversized shades.  Cool thing about cargo, you don’t need to spend a lot of cash for a lot of flash!  Check mine out at barneys new york…  Cheers to the Off Duty days babes!

Modern Metals in BCBG Leather Skirt

modern metals bcbg leather grommet skirt

Back off STUDS! There’s a new metal in town!  Metal detailing is everywhere adding industrial edge to fashion!  This grommet leather skirt has to be the most bad ass skirt I have ever worn.  Its tasteful length and tailored body makes for a staple classic to add to ANY wardrobe. The grommet detail adds a bold edge to an otherwise basic leather skirt.  I played on the muted metal accents and went for a chic graphic tee.  Lace up pumps and a high pony were the perfect addition to this modern day look. I wanted to stick with a black and white dominated trend, so this white Balenciaga runway bag was the perfect fit.  Take this look from daytime to DATE-time…  If the skirt is a bit much, try a grommet style bag.  Embellishments are on point right now, so go ahead and make a statement!
