I was really digging this outfit today. I was having a TOTAL fat day, (we all have them and HATE them) ugh! So, I went for a loose dress to try to hide my belly. Ok, whatever, I felt comfortable so thats all I cared about. Sometimes it’s not always about what’s most flattering, but what makes you feel comfortable that day. So, I went with it. It was a chilly La Jolla afternoon but the sun was out. I felt it was only appropriate to wear this dress as I was running out of time to wear the last of my fall finds. BTW, I can’t believe fall is already behind us. Like, where the heck did the year go?? Anyways, I wanted to wear cute sneakers with this dress for a skater girl look but went with these Steve Madden booties to stick with a fall feel. My inexpensive saddle bag paired perfectly with the leather detailing in the dress and my booties. My ombre sunnies completed my look as I said farewell to fall…

The holidays are my favorite time of year. Spending time with the ones you love, the holiday music, and the delicious homemade Christmas cookies get me every time. I love it. Not to mention, holiday parties are the perfect excuse to dress up! Since red and green seem to be a pretty permanent color scheme, I decided to go with this emerald fit and flare jacquard dress. I didn’t want to look like an elf so I styled this dress with a statement shoe and accessorized with gold undertones. Mixing prints is all the rage right now. Matchy-matchy was so 2001. I played on the bright green hue and went for my Jimmy Choo pumps with a peekaboo green flower. The leopard print and neutral under tones complimented the vibrant hue. To tie in the beige flower and gold bag I added a festive gold belt. The belt provided glamour to the dress without overdoing it. The last touch, a chunky gold watch for flare.

Here are some shots of a look I wore for a day at the beach in the beginning of August . Although its now late September, the recent heatwave in San Diego has definitely kept the maxi’s around. I love this Karina Grimaldi printed maxi dress… it’s very Missoni-inspired! It’s easy, comfy, and cool. A few simple accessories and pretty sandals and I’m beach ready.
This RVN dress is like wearable pop art! I’m obsessed with this brand! The bold colors, stripes and shape make this dress a triple-threat and the flouncy style is one of my favorites this season. It’s the perfect party dress. I kept the accessories on the simple side so it doesn’t come off as too busy… a “Wonder woman” cuff, a sleek clutch, nude Jimmy Choo’s and of course red lips! MEEEEOW!
